Where Breast augmentation in Dubai is performed on an outpatient basis in our fully accredited surgical centre. The surgery is carried out under general anesthesia, which is always administered by a board-certified physician-anesthesiologist who remains in attendance during the entire procedure, ensuring a safe, comfortable experience.
Predictability Breast augmentation done by our expert surgeons and in our accredited facilities has a very high patient satisfaction rate of 98%.
Downtime Patients are “up and about” the evening of surgery and can resume most normal daily activities within just a few days. However, it is necessary to restrict vigorous physical activities for about four to six weeks after breast augmentation.
Discomfort during and after the procedure Since we use general anesthesia, there is no pain during the procedure. Breast augmentation surgery in Dubai takes about 1 ½ – 2 hours. There is a modest amount of discomfort associated with breast enlargement but the pain can usually be controlled with oral pain medication.
What breast implants choices do I have?
Breast implants come in a wide range of sizes. The implant size is not denoted as ‘A’ or ‘B’ or ‘C’ but rather by the volume of the implant in cc. The size of implants typically used in the average breast augmentation is 250 to 350 cc.
Breast implants also come in a variety of different ‘profiles.’ This means that for any given size, there can be several different configurations of the implant, the Moderate Profile, the Moderate Plus Profile, the High Profile and the Ultra High Profile. In the last several years, yet another style of silicone breast implant has been introduced in the United States. This is the ‘form stable’ or ‘anatomical’ breast implant. The form stable breast implant has a ‘teardrop configuration’ and more closely mimics the contour of a ‘natural’ breast. The shaped form stable implant is especially useful in women who wish to have a very ‘natural’ and un-operated appearance and can also be helpful in correcting breast ptosis (drooping).
What incisions are used for breast implant surgery?
There are several different incisions that can be used to insert the implant. Common incisions include the axillary (armpit) approach, the periareolar (around the nipple) approach and the inframammary (in the crease beneath the breast) approach. All of these incisions work well and typically leave very minimal scars. The options regarding surgical incision and implant pocket positioning as well as size, profile and shape of breast implants will be discussed thoroughly with patients during their consultation to guide them to the correct choices.
How long do breast implants last?
The lifespan depends on the individual. Some implants may need to be replaced within the first couple of years after surgery, while others can last up to 25 years.
Are there any complications?
Data has proven that breast implants do not increase a patient’s risk of developing any type of autoimmune disease, breast cancer or any other medical condition. While the vast majority of patients are extremely happy with our results, breast augmentation is a surgical procedure that is associated with a certain risk of ‘complications’. If unsatisfactory results occur, patients may require an additional operation.
