Therapy models:

Our psychologists are trained in a broad range of traditional and newer therapy models, and will used the most suitable therapy or combination for each specific patient. These therapies include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for depression, bipolar, anxiety and personality disorders
  • Integrative harm therapy for addictions and substance abuse, which focuses on meeting the client on their own terms rather than trying to force them to quit
  • IMAGO therapy for couples, which uses existing conflicts in relationships to bring about behavior change and resolve problematic issues
  • Newer treatment models such as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), which are ‘third-wave therapies’ – modifications to standard cognitive behavioral treatment
  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy Enhanced (CBT-E) – specific intervention for the treatment of eating disorders
  • Maudsley Model of Anorexia Nervosa Treatment for Adults (MANTRA)
  • Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) for anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, phobias, etc
