Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. How does Diabetes and Obesity Care help reduce the risk factor for developing diabetes?
Diabetes and obesity care is a comprehensive approach that focuses on treating obesity to reduce the risk of diabetes through lifestyle changes, behavioral therapy, medications, and surgery when needed. The aims are to promote weight loss, improve blood sugar control, minimize complications, and, in some cases, even achieve remission of type 2 diabetes.

2. How does peptide therapy help delay aging?
Peptide therapy offers a natural way to help the body function more efficiently, supporting overall health, fitness, and healthy aging. It promotes muscle and bone strength, improves skin appearance, and enhances immune function and resilience, all of which contribute to reducing chronic inflammation associated with aging.

3. What distinguishes Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT) from conventional hormone therapy?
In BHRT, the hormones are derived from natural sources such as soy or wild yam and are molecularly identical to the hormones produced by the body. This makes them easier for the body to accept and metabolize. The therapy aims to replace hormonal deficiencies that occur with aging or due to health issues, such as menopause in women or low testosterone in men.

4. How does treatment work in Integrative & Functional Medicine?
Integrative and functional medicine is a medical approach that focuses on addressing the root cause of diseases rather than just the symptoms. It combines conventional medicine with complementary therapies through a holistic approach to support the body and mind.

5. What is advanced cancer screening?
Advanced cancer screening is a set of medical tests and technologies designed to detect cancer at very early stages, even before symptoms appear, or to monitor individuals at high risk. Key features include:
1. Early detection: Increases the chances of successful treatment and recovery.
2. Accurate and advanced testing: Includes modern imaging techniques, advanced blood analyses, and molecular or genetic testing.
3. Personalized risk assessment: Some tests help evaluate the likelihood of developing cancer based on genetic or environmental factors.
4. Close monitoring: Used to follow individuals with a family history of cancer or other risk factors.
