Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What are the most effective techniques for reducing the appearance of red (new) and white (old) stretch marks?
The effectiveness of the treatment highly depends on the color (age) of the stretch marks:
Red/Purple Stretch Marks (New):
● The most effective treatment is the Pulsed Dye Laser (PDL). This laser targets blood vessels beneath the skin, reducing inflammation and redness, and preventing the marks from progressing.
● Creams containing retinoids may also help at this stage.
White Stretch Marks (Old):
1. The most effective techniques are those that stimulate the production of collagen and elastin to rebuild the scarred tissue. These include:
a. Fractional Laser.
b. Microneedling, often used with Radiofrequency (RF) to increase depth and tightening.
c. Deep Chemical Peels.

2. What is Xela Rederm, and what distinguishes it as a treatment for skin rejuvenation and quality improvement?
Xela Rederm is used to improve skin texture, reduce fine lines and wrinkles, and treat pigmentation, especially in areas that show visible signs of fatigue and stress, such as under the eyes, neck, and hands.
It is a combination of Hyaluronic Acid and Succinic Acid. This combination helps with:
● Hydration and Volume: Providing deep moisture and subtle fullness.
● Improving Skin Quality and Anti-Aging: Enhancing cellular respiration and stimulating the production of collagen and elastin.

3. What makes Radiesse a preferred choice not only for correcting deep facial wrinkles but also for rejuvenating the hands?
Radiesse is preferred because it provides a dual effect that most other fillers do not offer:
● Immediate structural support: It delivers strong and appropriate volume to areas needing deep support, such as the jawline and nasolabial folds.
● Long-lasting collagen stimulation: Its main component, calcium hydroxylapatite, gradually stimulates the body to produce its own natural collagen. This stimulation is ideal for the back of the hands, improving skin quality and effectively hiding veins and tendons over the long term.

4. What is Sculptra, and how does it differ from traditional fillers?
Sculptra is a safe and effective non-surgical technique that involves injecting a substance made of poly-L-lactic acid into the deeper layers of the skin.
Unlike traditional fillers, it does not provide immediate significant volume. Instead, it stimulates the body to gradually produce its own natural collagen, delivering excellent results in restoring facial volume, improving skin quality, and naturally tightening the skin. Its effects typically last for two years or more.

5. What is Fraxel Laser, and what types of skin concerns is it most effective in treating?
Fraxel is a brand name for the leading Fractional Laser technology. This technique “scans” a targeted area of the skin, treating very small points while leaving the surrounding skin intact.
It stimulates the production of new collagen and removes damaged skin cells (such as scars, pigmentation, and wrinkles), revealing a smoother and more youthful layer of skin. Fraxel is therefore an excellent solution for treating acne scars (ice-pick scars), pigmentation, melasma, and fine lines. It essentially acts as a skin “resurfacing” procedure, providing optimal results with a relatively short recovery time.
