What We Treat

Endoscopic Brow Lift in RAK and Fujairah

An endoscopic brow lift is a minimally invasive procedure that improves the appearance of the forehead, brow, and eyes. It involves making small incisions behind the hairline and lifting the skin and soft tissue of the forehead and brow using special instruments. This surgery can be performed as a stand-alone procedure or in combination with other facial procedures such as a facelift or eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty).

What are the benefits of the procedure?

An endoscopic brow lift offers many advantages as it:

– Requires few incisions and little-to-no downtime

– Provides a more youthful, attractive appearance

– Delivers natural-looking and long-lasting results

– Treats wrinkles, frown lines, and sagging eyebrows

Am I a suitable candidate for the procedure?

You may be ready for an endoscopic brow lift if you have aging and tired eyes, frown lines or wrinkles in your forehead, or thick or low eyebrows. Suitable candidates include nonsmokers and healthy people without medical problems that hinder healing.

What to expect before the procedure?

During your consultation, our plastic surgeon will review your medical history and examine various areas of your face. The doctor may recommend you stop smoking and taking certain medications such as aspirin and ibuprofen. They may also advise you to fast for seven hours before the procedure and avoid wearing makeup on the day of surgery. You will need to arrange for someone to drive you to and from the hospital and accompany you on the night of the treatment as you recover.

What to expect during the procedure?

An endoscopic brow lift is usually performed under general anesthesia and takes about one to two hours. The surgeon starts by making three to five little incisions behind your hairline and introducing an endoscope (a long, thin tube with a light and a tiny camera attached) through one of the incisions. The parts that need lifting are displayed through images on a screen, allowing the surgeon to see where to operate under the hairline.

The surgeon will tighten the skin and elevate the tissues in your forehead using a device entered through a different incision. They will secure the tissues using stitches or small temporary screws, and your incisions will be stitched or stapled shut. The stitches or staples used will be removed during your follow-up appointment a week after the procedure.

What to expect after the procedure?

You may experience minor bruising or swelling following an endoscopic brow lift, but these side effects will fade within two weeks. Swelling can be reduced with the help of bandages or cool compresses. After the procedure, the doctor may position a tiny tube along the incision site to drain any extra blood or fluid.

Once the bruises and swelling have subsided, you will notice that the area around the eyes, brows, and forehead appears revitalized, and your face looks younger. You will need to avoid strenuous exercise or hard lifting for up to two weeks. The doctor will provide you with detailed instructions on how to take care of the incisions and when to take medications to promote healing.
