Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. How does Botox work to relax facial muscles and improve skin appearance?
Botox works by blocking the transmission of nerve signals to the targeted muscles, temporarily reducing their contractions. This decreases the appearance of expression wrinkles caused by repetitive facial movements, such as forehead lines and crow’s feet around the eyes. The result is smoother, more vibrant skin with a youthful appearance that typically lasts between 3 to 6 months.

2. What is the difference between fillers and skin boosters?
1. Skin Booster: Fine injections that deeply hydrate the skin, improve its elasticity and quality, and make it more radiant and refreshed, without changing the shape or volume of the face.
2. Fillers: Injections used to fill gaps and restore volume to certain areas of the face, such as the cheeks or lips, making them look fuller and more youthful.

3. How do thread lifts help tighten the face and neck?
Cosmetic thread lifts work by lifting and tightening the tissues of the face and neck in a non-surgical way, giving the skin a more youthful and vibrant appearance. These threads also help improve facial contours naturally, stimulate collagen production in the treated areas, and reduce sagging over time. The procedure is quick and safe, with a relatively short recovery period, making it an excellent option for those who want a facelift or neck lift without traditional surgery.

4. What are the main uses of lasers in cosmetic dermatology?
Lasers are widely used in cosmetic dermatology to address various skin concerns. Key applications include treating acne scars and surgical scars, removing tattoos and pigmentation, and managing rosacea and vascular lesions. Additionally, lasers are used for skin rejuvenation, improving texture, tightening, and reducing signs of aging.
Certain laser types, such as Fractional, Nd:YAG, and IPL, stimulate collagen production, giving the skin a smoother, more youthful appearance. Laser treatments are safe and effective when performed by qualified professionals, with a relatively short recovery period.

5. What are the benefits of chemical peels for the skin?
A chemical peel is a cosmetic procedure aimed at improving the appearance and health of the skin. It helps remove damaged layers and dead skin cells, enhancing skin texture and leaving it smoother and more radiant. It is also used to treat pigmentation issues such as dark spots and melasma, and to reduce the effects and scars of acne. Furthermore, chemical peels stimulate skin cell regeneration and collagen production, improving elasticity and minimizing fine lines and wrinkles. They can also help even out skin tone and enhance the absorption of skincare products, leaving the skin healthy, firm, and rejuvenated.
