Dr Carlos Baptista is a highly experienced pediatrician with a special interest in allergies and respiratory diseases. He earned his medical degree in 1993 from the Lisbon Medical School in Portugal. He continued his training at Lisbon’s University Hospital Santa Maria in internal medicine and then pediatrics until 2002. He underwent further training in the UK and received his Post-Graduate Diploma in Allergic Diseases from Southampton University in 2003.
Dr Carlos is registered as a pediatrician in Portugal, the UK and the UAE and has worked in both private practice and hospitals as a general pediatrician (from newborns to 13-year-olds) and in diagnosing and treating pediatric allergic disorders (asthma, food allergies, anaphylaxis, allergic rhinitis).
He speaks English and Portuguese fluently, as well as basic Spanish and French.
Dr Carlos is a member of the Pediatric College of the Portuguese Medical Association, Portuguese Society of Pediatrics, Portuguese Society of Allergic and Immunologic Diseases, European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology and American Academy of Pediatrics and holds the title of Fellow of the Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (UK).
