Dr Wael Dahhan is a well-known gastroenterology consultant with over 20 years of experience. He is certified by the American Board of Gastroenterology and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
Dr. Dahhan received an internal medicine internship at St Luke’s Hospital, Cleveland, Ohio followed by an internal medicine residency at New York State University at Buffalo, NY. After that, he earned a gastroenterology fellowship at Allegheny University Hospital, Pittsburgh, PA, a hepatology fellowship at the University of Miami Center for Liver diseases, Miami, FL, a gastroenterology fellowship at Yale University, New Haven, CT and an interventional gastroenterology fellowship at Harvard University, Boston, MA.
Dr. Dahhan worked as an internist and gastroenterologist at a number of prestigious hospitals and medical centers in the US and the UAE in addition to teaching and lecturing at several American hospitals and universities. Moreover, he conducted extensive research on various gastroenterology aspects and produced publications that discussed the prominent gastroenterology issues and were published in several medical journals.
Dr. Dahhan specializes in treating common digestive diseases and performing in-depth investigations for difficult GI conditions in addition to providing advanced endoscopic procedures, including upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, ERCP, capsule endoscopy, esophageal PH and motility studies, and liver biopsy. Moreover, he offers endoscopic management of obesity which includes endoscopic sleeve gastroplasty, gastric balloons and other non-surgical endoscopic options for the management of chronic acid reflux disease.
