Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What conditions does a spine surgeon treat?
A spine surgeon treats back and neck pain, spinal stenosis, scoliosis, herniated discs, spinal tumors, and degenerative spine disorders.

2. What are the non-surgical treatments for back pain?
Non-surgical treatments include physical therapy, radiofrequency ablation, nerve blocks, epidural injections, PRP therapy, and stem cell therapy. These methods can relieve pain, improve mobility, and sometimes eliminate the need for surgery.

3. What is minimally invasive spine surgery, and what are its benefits?
Minimally invasive spine surgery involves smaller incisions, less tissue damage, and faster recovery compared to traditional surgery.

4. When is joint replacement or reconstruction needed?
Joint replacement or reconstruction is needed for severe arthritis, joints damage, trauma, or congenital deformities.

5. How does radiofrequency ablation help with back pain?
Radiofrequency ablation uses heat generated by radio waves to disrupt nerve signals causing chronic back or neck pain; this treatment can provide long-lasting pain relief without surgery.
