Xanthelasma is soft yellowish growths on or near the eyelids. While this condition is not harmful, it might be a symptom of heart disease.

While anybody can get this condition, some people with this disorder have an underlying medical condition that contributes to the lumps forming. Xanthelasma might occur if your blood has excessive levels of cholesterol or other lipids.
