Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

1. What are the core principles of Naturopathy?
Naturopathy is based on seven principles: do no harm, the healing power of nature, treat the root cause, treat the whole person, doctor as teacher, disease prevention and health promotion, and overall wellbeing.

2. What types of healthcare providers deliver Integrative Medicine?
Integrative medicine is delivered by a variety of healthcare providers, including physicians, chiropractors, holistic mind-body therapists, acupuncturists, Chinese herbalists, Tai Chi and yoga practitioners, massage therapists, nutritionists, and even chefs specializing in culinary medicine.

3. How can Complementary Medicine support my health?
Complementary Medicine practitioners do not replace your primary or specialist doctor; rather, they work alongside your healthcare team to support your mind, body, and spirit. Their main focus is on prevention and managing chronic conditions, rather than treating acute or emergency medical issues.

4. How can early tests help a Naturopathic Physician improve your health?
Early tests detect any imbalances in the body before they turn into diseases and help design a personalized treatment plan while effectively monitoring health progress.

5. What are the benefits of Integrative Medicine?
Integrative Medicine techniques support your body’s natural ability to heal. They help reduce stress and promote a state of relaxation that leads to better health. They can help you achieve optimal wellness when you actively participate in your healing process and feel empowered to make lifestyle changes.
