Doctor's Bio

Yara Razzouk is a DHA-licensed physiotherapist with more than nine years of professional experience in providing high-quality rehabilitation and physical therapy care. She supports patients of all ages, from children with developmental challenges to adults and the elderly recovering from injuries, movement disorders, and musculoskeletal conditions.

She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy from Al Baath University in Homs, Syria, in 2016, building a strong academic foundation in musculoskeletal and neurological rehabilitation. She later pursued advanced training and certifications, becoming a Certified Mulligan Practitioner in 2019, completing an intermediate-level wheelchair provision program with the ICRC in 2020, and obtaining a Dry Needling certification in 2023. She also trained extensively in pain management, brain injury rehabilitation, and neurophysiotherapy.

Yara began her career at Al Rajaa Rehabilitation Association in Damascus, where she supervised physical therapy for children with Down syndrome and worked on integrating them into society while supporting their families through awareness sessions. She then joined the Syrian Football Association, providing treatment and rehabilitation for athletes with sports injuries to help them safely return to the field.

From 2017 to 2022, Yara worked with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent, where she treated patients suffering from war-related injuries and chronic conditions such as spinal cord injuries, cerebral palsy, multiple sclerosis, and stroke. She was responsible for developing physiotherapy plans, conducting physical assessments, supervising treatments, and leading mobile teams to deliver home-based care and rehabilitation.

Her career later took her to Dubai, where she worked with Emirates Rehabilitation and Homecare. There, she provided physiotherapy for inpatients and outpatients, educated families and caregivers on patient care techniques, and took part in health awareness campaigns in collaboration with government authorities.

Today, Yara’s clinical expertise spans musculoskeletal rehabilitation, pediatric therapy, sports injury management, and pain relief using a variety of therapeutic modalities, including ultrasound, electrotherapy, interferential therapy, shockwave therapy, paraffin wax therapy, and infrared therapy. Her work also extends into public education, with appearances such as her interview on Noor Dubai Radio, where she promoted health awareness in physiotherapy.

Fluent in both Arabic and English, Yara combines her clinical skills with strong communication and teamwork, allowing her to support patients from diverse backgrounds and help them achieve meaningful recovery and improved quality of life.
