Dr Bashar El-Sharabi is an internal medicine specialist with 17 years of experience in internal medicine, and a focus on endocrinology and treating diabetes. He has practiced extensively across the UK and regionally.
Dr Bashar earned his Postgraduate Diploma in Internal Medicine from Hammersmith Hospital Imperial College in London, and a Diploma in Endocrinology and Diabetes from Queen Mary University. He also holds a Speciality Certificate in Endocrinology and Diabetes from the Royal College of Physicians, and is certified by the European Board in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism and Jordanian Board of Internal Medicine and a member of The Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
For the past eight years he has focused on treating diabetes and improving the quality of care of diabetics. This includes a special interest in diabetic emergency, diabetic ketoacidosis, and the metabolic changes associated with obesity, and treating complicated cases of diabetes. His other areas of interest include obesity, thyroid and pituitary issues, adrenal gland disorders, delayed and early puberty, hypogonadism, hirsutism, vitamin D deficiency, osteoporosis, calcium and bone disorders and children with short stature.
